Join a Group on Soctrip
If you want to receive new information from a group on the home page or post interesting content for a group, you can join that group.
Option 1:
At the home page, when you scroll to a post from the group you want to join, press Join next to the group’s name and wait for approval to join the group.
Option 2:
Go to the group you want to join, click the Join group button at the bottom right corner of the group’s cover photo, and wait for approval to join the group.
Go to the group you want to join, tap the Join group button below the group's profile picture, and wait for approval to join the group.
Option 3: Discover Groups you may be interested in
When you don’t have a specific group in mind, the group discovery feature makes it easy to find and connect with groups that match your interests and needs. With this feature, you'll be recommended to groups you may not know but are likely to be a great fit for you based on your activities and interests on the Soctrip platform.
- Go to your profile and select the Groups section; or quickly select the Groups section in the Quick Access column on the left of the Soctrip home page
- Select Discover, including groups you haven't joined yet that Soctrip suggests to you
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Group name
- Number of group members
- At the name of the group you want to join, click Join group next to the group's name and wait for approval to join the group
- Go to your profile, select the Groups section on the menu bar
Or at the Soctrip home page, tap the Menu section at the bottom right corner of the screen. In the Quick access list, tap Groups - Select Groups you may be interested in, including groups you haven't joined yet that Soctrip suggests to you
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Group name
- Number of group members
- At the name of the group you want to join, tap Join group next to the group's name and wait for approval to join the group
How to view the Group you’ve joined
- Go to your profile and select the Groups section; or quickly select the Groups section in the Quick Access column on the left of the Soctrip home page
- Select Joined, including the group(s) you’ve joined
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Group name
- Number of group members
If you want to leave a group you've joined
Option 1:
- Go to your profile and select the Groups section; or quickly select the Groups section in the Quick Access column on the left of the Soctrip home page
- Select Joined
- At the name of the group you want to leave, click the Joined box, then select Leave group
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to click Leave group to complete.
Option 2:
- Go to the group by clicking the group name on the home page or by searching for the group
- At the bottom right corner of the group’s cover photo, click the button
, then select Leave group
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to click Leave group to complete.
- Go to your profile, select the Groups section on the menu bar
Or at the Soctrip home page, tap the Menu section at the bottom right corner of the screen. In the Quick access list, tap Groups - Select Joined, including the group(s) you've joined
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Name group
- Number of group members
If you want to leave a group you've joined
Option 1:
- Go to your profile, select the Groups section on the menu bar
Or at the Soctrip home page, tap the Menu section at the bottom right corner of the screen. In the Quick access list, tap Groups - Select Joined
- At the name of the group you want to leave, tap the Joined box, then select Leave group
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to tap Leave group to complete.
Option 2:
- Go to the group by clicking the group name on the home page or by searching for the group
- Below the group's profile picture, tap the button
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to click Leave group to complete.
If the Joined section is empty, it means you are not currently a member of any groups.
How to view the Group you've sent a request
- Go to your profile and select the Groups section; or quickly select the Groups section in the Quick Access column on the left of the Soctrip home page
- Select Sent Requests, including the group(s) you’ve sent member requests and are waiting for approval
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Group name
- Number of group members
If you want to cancel a group member request you've sent
Option 1:
- Go to your profile and select the Groups section; or quickly select the Groups section in the Quick Access column on the left of the Soctrip home page
- Select Sent Requests
- At the name of the group you want to cancel your member request, click the Sent Requests box, then select Cancel request
Option 2:
- Go to the group by clicking the group name on the home page or by searching for the group
- At the bottom right corner of the group’s cover photo, click Cancel request
- Go to your profile, select the Groups section on the menu bar
Or at the Soctrip home page, tap the Menu section at the bottom right corner of the screen. In the Quick access list, tap Groups - Select Sent Requests, including the group(s) you’ve sent member requests and are waiting for approval
Each group will display a summary of the following information: - Group name
- Number of group members
If you want to cancel a group member request you've sent
Option 1:
- Go to your profile, select the Groups section on the menu bar
Or at the Soctrip home page, tap the Menu section at the bottom right corner of the screen. In the Quick access list, tap Groups - Select Sent Requests
- At the name of the group you want to cancel your member request, tap the Sent Requests box, then select Cancel Request.
Option 2:
- Go to the group by tapping the group name on the home page or by searching for the group
- Below the group's profile picture, tap Cancel Request.
If the Sent Requests section is empty, it means you have not sent any requests to join any groups.
Invite friends to join a Group
- Go to the Group you want to invite more friends to join
- Click Invite at the bottom right corner of the Group’s cover photo
- Select one or more friends from the suggested list or use the search bar to find friends by name
- Click Send invites.
- Go to the Group you want to invite more friends to join
- Tap Invite below the group's profile picture
- Select one or more friends from the suggested list or use the search bar to find friends by name
- Tap Send invites.
Report a group
- Go to the group you want to report
- Click the icon
- Select Report
- Select a reason for the report: choose one or more suitable reasons from the list of common reasons, or enter a specific reason in the Other section
- Click Confirm to complete the report submission. The group report will immediately be sent to Soctrip's moderation for review to determine whether the group should continue to be allowed to exist on Soctrip, depending on the severity of the community standards violation.
- Go to the group you want to report
- Tap the icon
- Select Report group
- Select a reason for the report: choose one or more suitable reasons from the list of common reasons, or enter a specific reason in the Others section
- Tap Confirm to complete the report submission. The group report will immediately be sent to Soctrip's moderation for review to determine whether the group should continue to be allowed to exist on Soctrip, depending on the severity of the community standards violation.
Leave a group
- Go to the group you want to leave, click the button
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to click Leave group to complete.
- Go to the group you want to leave, tap the button
- When the confirmation pop-up to leave the group appears, continue to tap Leave group to complete.
