Where can I set up language on Soctrip?
- Click the mega-menu icon
in the upper right corner of any Soctrip page screen and select Language and currency.
- In the Language and currency section, select the language you want Soctrip to appear in.
- Click Apply to confirm.
- On the home page interface, tap the mega-menu icon
- Select the language you want Soctrip to appear in.
- Tap Save to confirm.
Additionally, you can also change the language on the login page by selecting one of the available languages.
How to create a username on Soctrip
Your username is part of your public profile. It's how your friends find you on Soctrip. Your username is the web address of your profile (for example: Soctrip.com/personal-profile/tom.96).
Usernames are usually variations of your name, such as tom96 or tom.96. You can create your own username.
Here are some things you can do with your username:
- Create a custom link (for example: https://Soctrip.com/personal-profile/tom.96) to your profile so you can share it with friends or post to external sites.
- Access information about someone through Soctrip. For example, if your username is tom.96, your friends can go to “https://Soctrip.com/personal-profile/tom.96” to view your profile and all your public information.
HOW TO CREATE A USERNAME:
- Go to your profile and click on About
- Select Overview
- Click the
icon in the right corner of this section
- In the Username field, enter a new username
- Click Save to complete the username change.
- Access your profile, in the management tool menu bar, scroll right to the end and tap on About
- Select Overview
- Tap the

- Tap Save to complete the username change.
RULES FOR CREATING A SOCTRIP USERNAME:
- Username is unique to an user account.
- Username can only contain letters, numbers (A–Z, 0–9), and periods (".")
- Periods cannot be at the beginning or end (e.g. invalid name: ‘.username’).
- Do not use periods (".") and uppercase letters to distinguish usernames (case-insensitive).
*** For example: The following names are considered to be the same: johnsmith55, John.Smith55 and john.smith.55 - Username cannot contain generic terms or extensions (.com|.net|.vn|.org|.edu|.info|.name|.gov|.biz|.us|.ws|.uk|.fr|.de|.ru|.jp|.gmail).
- Username must be at least 5 characters long, maximum 50.
Errors that can occur when creating a username:
- Contain invalid characters.
- Must be at least 5 characters
- Exceed maximum length
- Contain misplaced special characters
- Use consecutive special characters
- Username has already been taken
How do I set up notifications?
- Click the avatar thumbnail
in the upper right corner of any Soctrip page screen and select Settings and privacy
- Select Notifications
Here, you can set up notifications for features including: Comments, Reactions, Tags, Friends, Friend Requests, Groups, Fanpages, Events, Gifts, Recommended places - Click on the feature you want to set notifications for

at each respective notification management customization.
