Create and participate in polls

Polls on Soctrip Fanpages help fanpage admins to easily gather followers' opinions and make decisions more efficiently and transparently.

There are 2 voting modes that Fanpage administrators can choose depending on the purpose of use:

• Default::
  
  Fanpage admins need to schedule a start and end time for the poll. The poll will automatically start and end at the set time, or the Fanpage Admin can end the poll ahead of time.
  
  The answers are displayed simultaneously until the end of the vote
  
  Fanpage administrators can set up various types of voting limits such as: limit the maximum number of voting turns for the entire poll, limit the number of voting turns by time period (day/hour/minute), limit users vote for 1 or more options, and the maximum number of votes corresponds to each voting turns
  
  Users can edit/change their choices without clicking confirm vote.
• Presentation:
  
  The Fanpage administrator proactively starts/pauses (switches to the waiting screen)/ends the vote
  
  Fanpage administrators can choose the order in which answers are displayed during the voting process
  
  Users can vote on multiple presented answers, but once they click Vote, they cannot edit or deselect them.

1. On the Fanpages's Wall, click Poll below the [Share your feelings!] box
2. In the Poll mode section, select the Default type
3. In the Title section: Enter a title for the poll
4. In the Description section: Enter a description for the poll
5. In the Background section: Upload an image to represent the poll. Recommended aspect ratio is 9:16
6. In the Start and End time section: Select the start date/time and end date/time for the poll
7. In the Voting type section: Choose 1 of 2 options:
   
   Normal: voters simply select one or more answers set by the Fanpage administrator
   Vote by coins: voters use coins to select one or more answers set by the Fanpage administrator
   
   
   
   Normal vote Vote by coins

   Enable/disable limited votes setting:

   • In case Limited vote is Off (Participants can vote multiple times, as long as they do not exceed the maximum number specified in each time period):
     
     Set the time duration: Select the time unit (Day/Hour/Minute) and fill in the corresponding number
     
     Set Maximum number of voting turns: enter the maximum number of voting turns corresponding to the time period mentioned above.
     
     For example: When the time period is set to 1 day - Maximum number of voting turns is 5, then each day users can vote up to 5 times for that poll.
   • In case Limited vote is On (Voters can only vote a certain number of times throughout the voting period):
     
     Set Maximum number of voting turns: enter the maximum number of voting turns corresponding to the time period mentioned above.
     For example: When the maximum number of voting turns is set to 1, the user only has 1 vote for that poll.

   In the Poll type section:

   • Choose 1 of 2 options:
     
     Single choice: Voters can select only one answer
     
     Multiple choices: Voters can select one or more answers
   • Set Maximum number of votes per voting turn: enter the maximum number of votes corresponding to each voting turn.
     
     For example:
     

     	Single choice	Multiple choices
     Maximum number of votes per voting turn: 1	Users can only vote 1 vote per answer
     Maximum number of votes per voting turn: 2 or more	Users are allowed to vote 2 or more votes for the same answer	Users can vote 2 or more votes for the same answer or distribute them among multiple answers as they wish

   For normal voting: The ranking results of the answers depend on the total number of votes corresponding to each answer, not affected by the number of voting turns.

   Enable/disable limited vote times setting:

   • In case Limited vote time is Off (Voters are not limited in the number of voting turns):
   • In case Limited vote time is On (Participants can vote multiple times, as long as they do not exceed the maximum number specified in each time period):

     Set Maximum number of voting turns: enter the maximum number of voting turns corresponding to the time period mentioned above.

   For voting by coins: The ranking results of the answers depend on the total number of coins corresponding to each answer, not affected by the number of voting turns and the number of votes.

8. Set up User view - Poll details display:
   • Activities: enable or disable the mode that allows users to view details of the number of votes, including the number of votes, list of users who participated in the vote, and corresponding voting time.
   • Result: enable or disable mode allows users to view temporary statistics of the poll including the number of votes and the percentage of votes for each corresponding answer).
   • In case both Activities and result mode are turned off: users can only see the vote percentage of each answer
9. In the Answer options section: Add content and illustrative images for each answer option:
   • Click the icon to upload an image for the answer
   • Enter the answer content in the [Option] field
   • To add more options, click Add option.
   • To remove options, click the Delete option
10. Click Confirm to complete poll creation.

Get the poll QR code to quickly share the link to the poll or survey users online. Participants only need to scan the QR code with their phone or supported device and will be immediately transferred to the voting participation interface.

1. Right below the poll, click Download QR code
2. Share QR code: Download QR code (SGV or PNG format), can print or send via email, share to other platforms for easy access by users; or displayed directly on the screen

Polls are automatically set to close and reveal results at the time specified in the End Time field. However, the Fanpages administrator can end the poll early by following these steps:

1. Go to the poll and click End voting
2. When the confirmation prompt appears, click Confirm.

1. On the Fanpages's Wall, click Poll below the [Share your feelings] box
2. In the Poll mode section, select the Presentation type
3. In the Title section: Enter a title for the poll
4. In the Description section: Enter a description for the poll
5. In the Background section: Upload an image to represent the poll. Recommended aspect ratio is 9:16.
6. In the Voting type section:
   • Choose 1 of 2 options: :
     
     Normal: voters just need to click to vote for the answer when it's their turn to show. This type of vote by default allows users to vote for multiple answers.
     
     Vote by coins: voters need to use coins to be able to vote for the answer when it's their turn to show.
   • Enable/disable limit vote times::
     
     In case Limited vote times is Off (Voters are not limited in the number of voting turns):
     
     In case Limited vote times is On (Participants can vote multiple times, as long as they do not exceed the maximum number specified in each time period):
     
     - Set the time duration: Select the time unit (Day/Hour/Minute) and fill in the corresponding number
     
     - Set Maximum number of voting turns: enter the maximum number of voting turns corresponding to the time period mentioned above.
     
     For example: When the time period is set to 1 day - Maximum number of voting turns is 5, then users can vote up to 5 times per day for that poll.

   For normal voting: The ranking results of the answers depend on the total number of votes corresponding to each answer, not affected by the number of votes.

   For voting by coins: The ranking results of the answers depend on the total number of coins corresponding to each answer, not affected by the number of voting turns.

7. Set up User view - Poll details display:
   • Activities: enable or disable the mode that allows users to view details of the number of votes, including the number of votes, list of users who participated in the vote, and corresponding voting time.
   • Result: enable or disable mode allows users to view temporary statistics of the poll including the number of votes and the percentage of votes for each corresponding answer).
   • In case both Activities and result mode are turned off: users can only see the vote percentage of each answer
8. In the Answer options section: Add content and illustrative images for each answer option:
   • Click the icon to upload an image for the answer
   • Enter the answer content in the [Option] field
   • To add more options, click Add option
   • To remove options, click the Delete option
9. Click Confirm to complete poll creation.

1. To start the poll, tap Presentation, then tap Start poll in the lower right corner of the screen to open the dashboard
2. Click on each answer in turn (not required in order) to start displaying and allowing participants to vote.
   
   * You can click Turn to waiting screen to display the standby screen and pause voting
3. To end the poll, click End poll and select Confirm to view the summary of the poll results.

You may see your Fanpage's poll posts appear in your Soctrip News feed, in your Fanpage’s Timeline/Vote section, or a direct link to the poll via QR code.

1. In the poll, click on the answer(s) you want to vote for.
   
   * Depending on the type of selection and limits set by the Fanpage admin, you can select 1 or more answers, and participate in 1 or more voting turns.
2. To view an overview of the voting turns, click View Details.

   * Depending on the limits set by the Fanpage admin, you can participate in 1 or more votes.
2. Select the number of coins you wish to use for your vote, then click Vote.
   
   * In case you do not have enough Coin balance to use to vote, you need to Top up more coins
3. When the confirmation prompt appears, click Confirm to finalize your vote.
4. To view an overview of the voting turns, click View details.

1. At the poll, click on the answer you want to vote on when it gets its turn to be shown.
   
   * You can choose 1 or more answers when it's their turn to be shown.
2. To see an overview of voting turns, click View details.

   * You can choose 1 or more answers when it's their turn to be shown.
   
   * Depending on the limits set by the Fanpage admin, you can participate in 1 or more voting turns.
2. Select the number of coins you want to use to vote then press Vote
   
   * In case you do not have enough Coin balance to use to vote, you need to Top up more coins
3. When the confirmation message appears, click Confirm to complete the vote
4. To see an overview of voting turns, tap View details.
